1. Product Overview

Phenolic resin adhesive powder is brownish-yellow and may appear slightly reddish due to the presence of free phenol. It is a resin powder produced by the polymerization of phenol and formaldehyde under catalytic conditions, followed by filtration and drying. Phenolic resin offers excellent mechanical properties, resistance to acids and alkalis, corrosion resistance, high temperature tolerance, ant-aging properties, waterproofing, and environmental friendliness. It is widely used in marine plywood, rock wool board, outdoor furniture, anti-corrosion engineering, flame-retardant materials, grinding wheel manufacturing, and more.

OurPhenol Formaldehyde Resin Powder is engineered for high-efficiency industrial applications, particularly as a wood adhesive resin powder in engineered wood manufacturing. This PF resin powder features stable chemical properties, uniform particle size, and excellent curing performance.
Thisphenolic resin adhesive for wood panels forms a strong cross-linked structure during heat curing, providing superior mechanical strength and long-term durability. It is ideal for continuous production lines and high-pressure pressing processes.

2. Features & Advantages

Thehigh temperature resistant resin offers multiple advantages:

3. Applications & Use Cases

ThisPhenol Formaldehyde Resin Powder for plywood is widely used in various industries:

Wood Industry

  • Plywood manufacturing
  • Laminated veneer lumber (LVL)
  • Particleboard production

Construction Materials

  • Structural panels
  • Exterior-grade wood products

Industrial Applications

  • Molding compounds
  • Coatings and laminates
  • Insulating materials

As a high strength phenolic resin powder supplier product, it is especially suitable for applications requiring high durability, waterproof performance, and thermal resistance.

Usage Method

  • Mixing Ratio: Pure Powder : Water = 100:120:30
First add room-temperature water, then pure powder, stir for 3-5 minutes until no lumps. Next add 0.3-0.4 parts flour (adjustable as needed), mix well until the viscosity is suitable for glue spreader application.
  • Glue Application Amount: 160-200g/m2 (single side)
Bond immediately after application without air-drying. Press with a machine within 40 minutes (preferably 20 minutes) in summer and within 1 hour in winter to avoid glue curing due to water loss.
  • Storage and Usage: Use the prepared liquid glue within 24 hours in summer and 48 hours in winter. Remaining liquid glue can be mixed with fresh glue prepared the next day, stirred well for reuse. Unused glue powder should be stored in a sealed container to prevent moisture absorption and caking.
